Day1: 心の余白を作る Creating space in the mind


Pause for just one minute.

Do nothing.

Simply stop.


Birdsong, flowing water, the sound of wind, laughter.

What do you hear?



In Zen practice, you begin by sitting.

You calm the breath, and receive what is happening here and now, just as it is.




日日是好日 Nichinichi kore kōnichi.

It is a Zen teaching that says:

No matter what kind of day it is,

when you live it fully and sincerely, every day becomes a good day.



Life often fills our minds with worries.

But try pausing for a moment.

Close your eyes and listen to the sounds around you.



Somehow, a quiet sense of gratitude begins to arise-a feeling of being alive, of being supported by life itself.
